I'm Worried About My City — 11.05.25

I'm worried about my city.

Mamdani has been elected as mayor of my home city.

A man who openly uses the phrase “Globalize the Intifada.”

A man who accuses Israel of genocide and apartheid at every opportunity.

I’ve learned from my grandparents’ generation: never ignore the early signs of antisemitism when they appear in your own home.

Though I’m hesitant to sound the alarm or even consider leaving this city I love, one thing is clear: I’ll be watching closely. I’ll be aware of my surroundings. And I’ll be cautious if his leadership begins to create real danger for people like me in New York.

Moments like this remind me why I started Iron Dome Coffee.

Why I donate 18% of profits to wounded Israeli veterans.

Why I speak out.

Why I won’t be silent.

Because in times like these — supporting Israel and standing by the Jewish people isn’t just a choice.

It’s a necessity.
