Every so often, you encounter a story that shakes you to your core. Matan Abergil’s journey is one of them.

At just 19 years old, Matan was serving in the Golani Brigade when terrorists launched an attack near Kibbutz Nir Am on October 7. As a grenade hurtled into his armored vehicle, filled with six men, Matan didn’t hesitate. He dove on top of them, absorbing the blast himself so his friends could escape.

His last words to his comrades evoke the strongest sense of emotion: “I tried to protect all of us and the entire people of Israel.”

Matan’s heroism was truly unmatched.

This act of ultimate sacrifice is why our mission matters. It’s why we fight for wounded soldiers. It’s why your support of Iron Dome Coffee matters.

Because while Matan’s story ended in loss, it also stands as a profound example of selfless bravery, and a reminder that our heroes deserve our unwavering support.

They say you die twice: once when your heart stops, and once when your name is spoken for the last time.

Let’s make sure Matan’s name is never forgotten.

Let’s honor his sacrifice and remember his name.

With gratitude,
