Edan Alexander Is Home! — 06.20.25

This week, the horrific scenes of fire and rockets have crushed all of our hearts, with devastating blows all across Israel. Many rockets were aimed at Haifa, where most of my family resides; thankfully, they're all ok. I’ve seen these awful videos all week, and it’s truly heartbreaking. My entire heart is with my brothers and sisters in Israel who defend our culture with their lives.

In return, Iran has been utterly devastated by what’s been coming to them. But will it be enough to destroy their nuclear capabilities? That is yet to be seen. Our job as Americans is to keep Israel in mind, and fight for Israel in any way we possibly can.

In times like these, our work feels more important than ever.

And in the midst of the political debates surrounding US intervention, I urge everyone to remember this: Ayatollah Khamenei and his radical government are the furthest thing possible from our friends.

Their worldview is drenched in violence, anti-semitism, and radicalism. All evidence has shown that they cannot be negotiated with. And subsequently, Israel’s fight is Humanity’s fight.

At Iron Dome Coffee, we’re doing our part to support Israel every single day. And we're awfully proud of it.

In other, more exciting news, we welcomed Edan Alexander back home yesterday! Like Edan, I was raised in Tenafly too, and it was such a beautiful moment to welcome him home.

Although it rained heavily, that didn’t stop everyone from singing Israeli songs at the top of their lungs, dancing in the streets, and draping Israeli flags over their shoulders.

I’ve had a picture of Edan that sits above my bed for over a year and a half now. Since then, I’ve spent an uncanny amount of time looking at it, wondering if he would ever come home to Tenafly. It would often bring me to tears. Now, we’re truly blessed as a community to see him return home, and it was so amazing to see him smile as he drove through our beautiful town.

No matter what happens, good or bad, one thing will always be certain: our community will always care for one another.

As always, AM YISRAEL CHAI!!!!
